i hope a fix is coming soon. I like PT4 but honestly rebooting my Mac 3-5 times a day to reset RAM is becoming ridiculous. If there’s no light at the end of the tunnel I’m going to have to switch to another HUD, It will be a PITA because I have to start a new DB but I can’t continue doing this.

I don't have an update on this issue at this time; I will post when I do.

You can switch back to Mavericks, like I do. I works great and I don't have to reboot. Also you can install a virtual machine and connect to your current database.

I appreciate your advice but honestly I shouldn’t have to reverse an upgrade from an OS that provides overall improvements because of one application. Plus going back to Mavericks at this point for me would be a major PITA because of the dozens of other apps I’ve upgraded. I (we) paid a premium price for PT4 and it’s a great application, but forward compatibility with Yosemite should have been tested and fixed some time ago.

Looks like apple fixed something. There is no problem with _windowserver in Yosemite 10.10.3

Yes.. I’ve noticed the same after upgrading Yosemite. Used PT4 HUD a few times and no major expansion of WindowServer. This is great!!! Hopefully this is the end of this issue. Yosemite fix or not.... thanks to all at PT who responded to this.
