PT4 for Mac ridiculously slow

Lucky to get 50 h/s, processing all being tied up by the import thread of PT (ie. not pgsql related)

SSD, 16GB, 4.3 ghz i2600k, 16GB ram, dedicated PT machine running 10.8.4

50 hands per second does not seem unreasonable.

Perhaps, but that's a peak. Usually it's 24 hands per second. Just tried it with a new database, single table, 1,100 hands, and it was still 24 hands per second.

Don't get me wrong, if that's the same kind of speeds that Windows users are seeing, then nothing is wrong. I'll perform a test in a VM tomorrow and see.

Otherwise, perhaps there is a bug or sub-optimal function in the Mac version.

I tend to see closer to 50h/sec than 24h/sec but that's not ridiculously slow.
