Lost Network Drive While Running A VM

Postby Herr_Someone » Mon Nov 18, 2013 9:29 am

Sorry upfront - I understand that this isn't technically a PT4 issue, but I thought there would be enough knowledgeable people around to answer.

I've been running PT4 in a Virtual Machine (Win7) on OSX 10.8, and now and again have to reset my IP address and remap the drive, however now Windows is telling me that it cant find the drive at all. It takes a good 5 minutes to look for it before popping up a 'Cannot Access' error. I must admit it's been a while since I last had to remap so I may have forgotten a part of the process along the way.

I've pinged the IP address in the VM and it is fine, but it just wont find the drive using the Run command.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be going on?

Thanks in advance

I'm afraid I don't have any special experience with this one, but hopefully someone else can chime in and help you.

How are you sharing the network drive? SMB?
