cant connect PK4 to Pokerstars

Postby garlucky » Thu Jul 24, 2014 12:51 pm

Hi, I recently downloaded PK4 (first just the 30trial, to know if it works on my mac), but cannot connect to PokerStars. I’ve already activated the Handhistory on Pokerstars, but there’s still the error „PokerStars does not appear to be installed“.
What did i forgot to change/activate? Don’t find answers on PK4-website and its guides..

Would’ve been glad if someone could help me.

Make sure to set PokerStars to save hand histories as explained here and then set PT4 to look in the directory where PokerStars saves the hands. As long as the directory is configured properly any error message that remains can be safely ignored.

so does it matter if the folder, in which the HandHisory is kept, has been changed? I already tried to choose the former folder for that purpose. But due to the folder selection provided by OS X I can only choose folders, but not just typ its path in the gap as it is possible with Windows.(so i cannot just copy the path from the guides) In addition im quite new to OS X so i am not that familliar to these hidden folder in „Library“ etc. and where to find the right space for such a folder...

Just don't put it on the Desktop and otherwise it doesn't matter where you put it. You can put it in a subfolder of Documents or your user folder or wherever else.

So it somehow works now, and the software accepts that folder.

Thanks for your help!
