recreate postgresql acc?

Hey guys,

i did something very stupid: deleted the account (named PostgreSql), which has been listed among my user accounts on my mac...
i thought it was created undeliberately...now of course i cannot start PT4 anymore, as it want to connect to a database.

what can i do now?? I also wouldn't mind to lose my collected data, as it was only little data, just want PT4 to run..

The easiest thing to do is uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL as explained in this guide, just skip step 6 -- as long as you don't do step 6 your database will remain intact.

what does that mean? Is it the proper answer?

silly me, typed it wrong..after i wrote it right no answer came up, is that alright?

and the next one again..

julians-mbp-2:~ Julian*****$ sudo rm /Applications/PostgreSQL 9.0
rm: /Applications/PostgreSQL: No such file or directory
rm: 9.0: No such file or directory

is it because i deleted that "account"?

the next one again would show an error...

now i just installed the newest version of PostgreSQL, of course it does not have the old data, but it works though.

If you were to reinstall the same version of PostgreSQL you should be able to reconnect to your data, as long as you didn't delete the data folder, but if you still have your hand history files it's probably easiest to just re-import to your new database using Get Hands From Disk.
