After the reboot if PT4 doesn't run automatically you can launch it manually to continue the installation process.

Does the install finish? Can you connect to PostgreSQL via PGadmin?

I am seeing the same behaviour with the OSX 10.10 Beta. I will discuss this with the development team and see if it can be resolved. Please open a Support Ticket with a link to this thread so that we can send you a notification when the fix is released (assuming this isn't a bug in the OSX 10.10 Beta).

In the meantime if you install PostgreSQL manually then PT4 will work.
We currently recommend v9.3, which you can download from http://www.PostgreSQL.org/download

You can use the defaults for the PostgreSQL install and I'd recommend using our default password of 'dbpass' for simplicity.
