Hello.

I did a cache rebuild last night, restarted my computer and now when I open PT4 I get this error:

"Unable to login to database (Postgres). Reason: could not connect to server: no such file or directory is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"

I do not have /Library/PostgreSQL/ folder, but when I type ls /Library/PostgreSQL/ in terminal, it returns 9.3

Any ideas what to do?

Run:

ps ax | grep -i postgres

at the terminal and paste your output here.

628 s000 S+ 0:00.00 grep -i postgres

ps auxw | grep -i postgres
dan 556 0.0 0.0 2432784 640 s000 S+ 7:22am 0:00.00 grep -i postgres

Is it possible to back up my database first so I don't lose all my HH? If so, how do I do that since I can't get into PT4

So PostgreSQL isn't running then. If you go in Console do you see errors relating to PostgreSQL? If so what do they say?

No errors in ~/Library/Logs relating to PostgreSQL.

Any other ideas?
