Hi all.
A few weeks ago I re-installed the PT4 sotfware with PostgreSQL 9.3 to Mac Yosemite, and It worked well for a while.. I received all my hands in txt files, in the past 3 years from pokerstars, and I started importing my hands from disk, about 24000-200000 hands / file, total of approximately 1 million hands. I made custom rebuild cache and housekeeping after each of the import, but after the last, PT4 did not start anymore, with this message:
" Unable to login to database (postgres). Reason: could not connect to server: No such file directory Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"? "
I read a lot of forums and I tried many solutions, but it still does not work... I know, that I should reinstall again Postgres, but I cant backup my database, and I do not want to start it all over again... Could you possibly recommend some solutions?

PokerTracker 4 performs maintenance when you import hands manually and automatically so rebuilding the cache is not something you need to do with PokerTracker 4 except when there is a specific need to do so. For the connection issue confirm where your PostgreSQL is, probably here:

/Library/PostgreSQL/9.3

Open a terminal, probably in "Utilities". In the terminal window copy/paste this:

sudo rm /Library/PostgreSQL/9.3/data/postmaster.pid

You want to delete "postmaster.pid" so answer "y" if the command finds it.

Next reboot, press/hold the "Alt/Option" key while starting PokerTracker 4 to enable logging and click through any messages. If PokerTracker 4 starts you should be all set but if it won't attach these files to a Support Ticket:

--> /Users/SOME_NAME/Library/Application Support/PokerTracker 4/PokerTracker4.log

--> The newest 5 or 6 PostgreSQL log files (look for "Mac" in the guide): Guide: PostgreSQL log files
