Hi,

I have never come across this before, Firstly i would suggest you run a windows update Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser)

Then i would suggest a re-install of net framework

1) Uninstall your current version with this tool: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/dotnet ... p_tool.zip
2) Download and install this one: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=17851

I am up to date with Microsoft. I ran the clean up utility and it gave me the options to clean up Net Framework 1.0 and 1.1, so I ran both. When I try to install Net4.0 it says that it is already installed and I don't need to install it.

I'm using windows 8.1 and I think it's built into the OS as I cannot see it in the programs list.

I found the error log in the temp directory if it helps.

I adjusted the permissions on the temp file and now it installs to the splash screen and then I get a Windows message that the program has stopped working. It creates this log.

I'm the lead dev of TN2. First off, many thanks for the detailed info you gave us!
By looking at the logs + our code, I originally thought you were running 32-bit Windows, but apparently you are not. We'll have a new beta version that should fix your issue in a bit - Denise will contact you privately with a link to it.
