Unistalling reinstalling postgres

Im having trouble installing postgres. I install it, but then when i try to log on its just loads forever and nothing happens. I cant uninstall it and the other post that asked this question had a response with a link, but when i try to open the link it says"encription error" and i cant see what im supposed to do. Can someone please cut and paste how to uninstall and reinstal postgres. Thanks
