Need help with PAHud & Full Tilt

Postby tiagosilva » Fri Mar 21, 2008 8:48 am

Hello,

i recently made a deposit at Full Tilt Poker, and began using Poker Ace Hud in there too. In order for the stats to appear correctly i had to uncheck the setting: Options->Preferences->Poker Sites->Full Tilt->Standard Drawing.

I unchecked since you say it may not display stats properly, and in fact it didn't, but all worked well when unchecked.

Thing is, i recently bought a helper software, the Full Tilt Shortcuts[/urlzcl] to help me multitabling, but Poker Ace Hud, with that setting unchecked its interfering with the normal function of the program. I play with the tables cascaded and instead of waiting for me to act on a pending table, poker ace hud makes lots of tables, pending and non pending pop up in front of the table i'm acting on, this is very frustrating and creating chaos and making my multi table game nearly impossible! When i check the Standard Drawing all works fine in the poping up of the tables, but i don't see ANY stats at all.

So what should i do? i understand not all persons have to uncheck the Standard Drawing to see the stats, what causes this? How can i fix it, or what can i change in my pc in order to be able to play with Standard Drawing checked?

Please help me.
Thank you, Tiago Silva.

Do you have flicker free drawing enabled? Options->Preferences->Poker Sites->Full Tilt, 'Flicker Free Drawing'.

If not, try enabling it and see if that resolve the problem. If it is enabled, try disabling it.

Hello.

I actually feel embarrassed, i checked the Flicker Free Drawing and it works now, thing is, with lots of tables, (8, 10..) it eats up my processor, and everything becomes quite laggy, and PT in the background importing hands doesn't help either.

So do you know what causes the incapability? i have an ATI 9800XT, could it be the graphics card? can i tweak some settings?

I'm only asking because since you state in the software, that it might not work properly, maybe you know, or someone in there knows what cause it.

Thank you

And 'standard drawing' does not work even if you have it enabled with flicker free?

i'm sorry i don't think i explained it correctly.

the standard drawing works when the flicker free is enabled , YES! and thank you for that!

But, flicker free eats up my cpu, and when i open lots of tables, everything gets very laggy, very slow, so if you could tell me what causes standard drawing no to work for somebody, maybe i could make it work for me without using the flicker free setting, that would be super! :)

Due to Full Tilt poor drawing methods, Flicker Free drawing is required for the overwhelming majority. I would guess 90-95%+. To be honest, I am unsure of the answer to your question. If I knew I would certainly let you know (as well as everyone else).

Having standard drawing enabled with flicker free should reduce the lag. Try downloading and running a program called CCleaner[/url38l] which is free and completely safe to run. It will eliminate all of the junk on your computer that can help contribute to slowing down your computer.

What is your CPU usage when it starts to lag? What are the top 5 processes with their corresponding cpu usage?

Best regards,

Derek

ok thank you for your reply.

I'll download the program to give it a try, but i formated the pc about 2 weeks ago, so it should be quite free of junk, nevertheless i'll do that.

Now when it lags processor is on 100%, but not always of course, but i have a fairly old system, Amd Sempron 3000+, 1GB ram.
The top 4 i would say it depends.. usually is FullTilt Poker, with around 30% to 65%i then PAHud with around 25%to 35%, but when PT fetches the hands.. PT and postgre explode to 65%-80%! Those seem to be the top 4 programs, of course it lags a lot more when pt is doing his thing!

Best regards =)

Ok, that sounds about right, considering your computer's specs. I do not think we will be able to squeeze any more tables out of your computer...
