Click Start, click Run and type in services.msc.

Hit enter.

The rest of the instructions are the same - you want to stop those services.

The procedure for stopping the services should be pretty similar - if you run services.msc can you find the F-Secure services in the list?

Actually, the first thing F-Secure told me was that my license would have to be renewed in 30 days.

AVG and Zone Alarm are both pretty good, and free. I fix a lot of setups for people and I haven't seen a problem with AVG or ZoneAlarm and PostgreSQL ever, so that might also be worth something :)

Yeah, I use AVG, and I'm pretty sure I remember our lead developer saying that's what he uses too.
