Yes, PT3DB is the one you need to back up.

Morning kraada.
I finally got a new HDD and was trying to backup to my exteranl HDD but Backup Database PT3 DB (Not Responding), please help.

Backing up databases can take quite a while and the program may appear to not be responding in the meantime. How large is this database?

You are right again kraada...
After 15 mins of not responding, i finally see my backup file on my external HDD but there's only 491 MB.
Does it sounds right for 47k players and 1.15 million hands database?

That sounds about right, especially if you opted to use compression in the backup process.

Make sure to attempt restoring on the other machine before deleting the original database though, just in case there was a problem.

No new PC, just trying to tune pt3 performance by having a 2nd HDD.

Understood, the backup really should have worked just fine, but don't delete your old database until you're certain things are working. Once you're sure it is you can delete it (in the PT3 Database Management window is the easiest place), though.
