No, you'd have to actually set up RAID either via a hardware RAID controller or using RAID software. This page is one of many that discusses setting up RAID via software.

Thanks kraada.
I'm completely lost, just spent too much time on this performance tuning...

I just got my new HDD installed specially for PT3 data only.
Like advised, i have created "pg_data" and copied "schema.postgres.sql" on my D drive (my new HDD).
What's next?
I assume i have to move my data from my original location (C drive) to my new HDD (D drive), is so please advise on my next step or provide link please.

Need to get back to playing, tooo much time spent on this "tuning".
Please help.

Thank you.

It sounds like you got to the start of the paragraph that begins "Now we need to allow" - I explained it all earlier in this thread, in this post.

The file is named "schema.postgres.sql". That's my fault; I've fixed the original post.

I'll let you slide this time :)
After "schema.postgres.sql" and Enter, nothing happens, just "pt3_newdb-#...

Hey kraada, got it!
Retyped " \connect pt3_newdb;", " \cd D:", " \i schema.postgres.sql" and it seems to be working now.
Thanks.

Gonna work on PokerTracker3's Database Management now, wish me luck please.
Will update.

Appreciate your patient.

I think i got excited tooo early :( .
Are my old data on my new HDD now?
Can i, should i delete my old data on my C drive and how?
Set PT3_2009_080_26_092305 as my Active/Default database but there's no database on PT3 now.

We are very close kraada, don't give up on me :) .
