Send me a message via the Support system to arrange a remote assistance session so that I can login to your account and get PostgreSQL installed.

I am available from 12-7PM EST then again from 11PM-4AM EST. Please pick a date and time and I will put you on my calendar.

Best regards

At the bottom of the file there are two lines that end in 'md5'. Change the 'md5' to 'trust'. File->Save

Then go Start->Programs->PostgreSQL->Reload Configurations

Now, you are not required to enter a password and you should no longer receive the "Invalid Username specified: Logon Failure: unknown username or bad password." error.

Best regards,

Derek

I've had most of the errors mentioned in this post whilst trying to install Postgre SQL, I installed Windows Vista Service Pack 1 last night and then tried to reinstall Postgre SQL this morning and it worked first time! The link to download it is: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b0c7136d-5ebb-413b-89c9-cb3d06d12674&DisplayLang=en :D

Then PostgreSQL was not installed successfully. Were there any error messages during the installation?

I don't know, I beat my way through about all the suggestions in this thread one by one, and now it's working and I have PT3 Beta running. Thanks for the help Derek.

Is there any noticeable performance gain if updating from 8.2 to 8.3?

Yes there are some. If I had to quantify it in PokerTracker 3, I would guesstimate around 10-15%?
