I've spoken to our development team and apparently my theory about the registration server is incorrect - the server doesn't actually check that your date matches its date.
This error must mean that PAH can't connect to the registration server, and that is normally a firewall issue.
Try disabling it temporarily while you start up.
If that helps you should be able to set an exception for PAHud.exe in your firewall configuration.

Please see the Firewall Guide - this refers to PT3 but the same principles apply.

The only firewall I run is Windows Firewall (I'm running XP if that matters). I set an exception for PAHUD and continue to have the issue others are reporting. Like them, my PA worked fine last night but has been giving me the error about not connecting to the registration server since I got up this morning (around 8 AM Eastern).

1. Worked just fine until Sep 11, with Norton Firewall enabled. I checked and PAH is listed as exception. If PAH tries to access internet and does not have permission, Norton pops up and asks if I want to allow access. Sometimes on PokerStars, PT, or PAH upgrades this happens. Didn't happen this time.

2. Just to make sure, I disabled the Norton firewall. This did not help.

3. If it was a firewall issue, setting the computer date back to say 9-9-09 would not enable the program. But it does enable the program. But I'm not wiling to keep doing this in order to make it work for obvious reasons.

4. Please fix this quickly. I know this isn't the latest and greatest and you don't make any money out of it, but we all have choices when we upgrade.

5. Look. It is obviously in the server, or else it wouldn't depend on the date. The server does check for registration, otherwise we wouldn't be getting these messages.

Apologies - it turns out it is a problem on our end after all.
The affected codes are being updated so please try again later - you will need to re-enter your code once more once it has been 'reset' on our end.
If you don't have your code you can Rerequest it here.

Anyone that is affected can use this temporary code which will expire on Monday:
3F94A5-938BE1-E339A6-59A6E9
At which point, your records should be updated and you should switch back to your normal code.

As of now old registration is still not working. Temporary registration works.

Same basic problem here. Additionally, my registration code is not at hand and my email address has changed since I registered. So how would I get a registration code that works? (The link above for getting the registration code only works when the email address that went with the purchase of the code is still the same)

When this happens try setting your computer's date to the day before, which would match the server.
