PT3 Icon in Windows7

In Windows 7, the shortcuts cannot use the pokertracker 3 icon. I tried using the PokterTrackerHud.exe icon, but it fails to load that one as wel..

What happens when you double click the shortcut?
Did you do a normal install? You haven't moved anything?
Does the shortcut link to the correct folder? (Right click > Properties - does it have the correct path?)
Are you running PT3 as Administrator?
ATTENTION: Windows VISTA (or 7) users, you must read this...
Try disabling 'User Account Control' (UAC) and re-running the PT3 installer.

Did all of that. The program seems to work fine so far, although the icon isn't showing in the taskbar yet.

You can see the PT3 application, though, right?
If you alt-tab between applications it shows up in the list?
I'm not that familiar with Windows 7 personally, but you should see it listed as a application across the bottom of the screen (assuming that's where you have your Start Menu, etc)?

Software works perfect. Alt-tab works, start menu, everything. Only when you look up the .exe in explorer, or you see the program in the start menu/task bar, there is no icon showing (the small green pt3 logo). Instead you see a white rectangular with the standard windows file icon in it.

I suppose somehow the icon file added to the .exe is invalid.

OK, I see what you mean.
Is that still the case after re-running the installer?
If everything is working, then this isn't really anything to worry about.

True, I'm not worrying at all. Thought i'd just mention it, as it is a "style-issue".

I did re-install, but didn't change a thing.

Yeah i've had the same issue. as above its not a problem really just asthetics.

As a workaround i went to the shortcut in the start menu (Start -> All Programs -> Pokertracker 3) and changed the icon that it uses from the one in file PokerTracker.exe to the icon in the PokerTrackerHud.exe file.

I can verify that this is happening on my Win7 install as well - no icon in the taskbar - just Windows generic icon.
