Did you restart postgres after disabling it?
I don't think that re-installing with it disabled will help - please schedule a remote assistance session where someone can logon to your computer with you and directly troubleshoot/resolve the issue.

I'm using PT3 on Windows 7. Was working on beta x86 and works on release now x64. Postgres I used was the one with PT3 installer.

So problem most likely is not OS related.

Creating the remote session request will probably be the easiest and fastest way to get things working for you again - then we will work interactively instead of going back and forth slowly via the forums.

Ouch, problem is I'm going on vacation today... Uhm, I guess I'll have to get it done, when I get back home.

I'm trying to get Pokertracker 3 beta 29.1 to work with Windows 7 / 64 bit for 2 days now. I've tried everything. Re-installing different postgres versions with your guide. Re-installing Pokertracker...
I'm also sure it has nothing to do with the Firewall or other security software, I've deactivated all.

Also I've have observed what happens when I start Pokertracker and then try to import hands or my backup. When Pokertracker is started several "postgres.exe"-processes appear in the task manager (which is probably normal). So that should be ok. I can also connect postgrestSQL 8.4 to the server in the 'pgAdmin'. But then when I try to import hands it suddenly gets disconnected and also the "postgres.exe"-processes are all shut down.

Please open PT3 with the logging enabled link and report this problem so that we can investigate further.

Please report your problem via a support ticket first - we can often resolve things that way more efficiently. If it can't be sorted that way we'll arrange a remote session.

I'm having the exact same problem... I use Windows 7 Prof. and did a clean install on my laptop after I re-formatted it.

Now when I import some hands (doesn't matter if it's auto-import or manual import) it imports 2 files, sometimes more and then stops... I then have to kill the process.

Postgres isn't listed in "processes", but it is running in "services". when I start it, it won't be listed under "processes" either.

Please help us to get along... I'm going crazy!

btw: I have the same setup on my Desktop Computer, which is identical... but I'm using Win7 Ultimate there.
I tried disabling Kaspersky, but no change.
