Yes, that computer should be able to handle the database just fine; no need to send me the logs in addition, but I appreciate the offer.

Imported 1.5 Million hands.. REALLY slow..

I'm going to install new OS (Windows 7 64bit). Therefore I'll need to reinstall PT3 and postgres. What version would you suggest to install: 3.00 build 5.2 or 3.00 beta 29.1? What version of PosgreSQL is included in these packages?

P.S. I saw in this thread that 8.4 version can cause slowdowns. But in another thread I saw that early versions of PosgreSQL work bad with Windows 7 64bit.

Install PostgreSQL 8.3.8 manually from the PostgreSQL website, then install the Beta 29.1 upgrade. It should be working well in that combination.

kraada wrote:PT3 can interact with PostgreSQL - you were able to import hands into your database. You can be 100% certain that the ODBC driver is installed and functioning, otherwise that would not work. The stack builder really doesn't matter for much else, so I really would not worry about it.

I just want to jump in and point out that PT3 does not use ODBC at all. In fact I've never had it installed on any of my machines.

PM me your ticket number and I'll check to be certain but it sounds like your ticket is waiting for our development team to look into what is going on so that it can get fixed. That means you have a bug assigned to you in our internal bug tracker and our team will definitely look at it, but it can sometimes take a bit (internal alpha testing has ramped up in the last week so our development team is going to have its hands full looking at bugs for a little while at least).
