Player List Bug in Tournaments

Postby Seitz333 » Sat Mar 29, 2008 10:50 pm

I know the tourney section is not complete yet but here is a bug I found. If I import the tourney hand history and the tourney results file and lets say there are 24 entries in the tourney, and I wind up only sitting at a table(s) with 15 of the 24 entries, then the player list will only show the players who I sat at a table with. The 9 players who I never sat at a table with do not show up in the list. I use this feature in PT2 to keep track of how many total different players have played in league tourneys.

Are you importing the tourney summary? The total number of entrants will not be correct unless if you import the Tournament summary which is requested via the poker site.

I assume this is on PokerStars? There seems to be a bug preventing the summaries from properly updating the tournament. We are hoping to have this resolved shortly...

Basically, if you import only tourney summaries and no hand histories then no players will show up in the players list.

Also the Tourney Notes field is not available.

FYI - Both of these problems still exist in the commercial release.

Please attach both the summary and the hand history for this tournament to a support ticket.

Josh, I have a database where I only import tourney summaries (I do NOT import hand histories). I imported over 150 tourney summaries and no players showed up in the main players list. The players and all the tourney results are in the database if you go to Tournaments--->Enter Results, you can see all the info.

Something else I noticed when importing only the tourney summaries, the "Tourney Type" is set to N/A. I did notice if I imported the hand history for one of the tourneys then the tourney type would be correct (No Limit) for that particular tourney. It seems the Tourney Type is set based on what the hand history file says, to me it should also check to see what the tourney summary file says for a tourney type.

I could really use the Tourney Notes field being turned on...

Thanks,

Chuck

Yeah, that list only shows players with hands in the database. The reason for doing so is that some people import tournament summaries with thousands of players in the tournament, most of which have no hands played against. It could potentially make the player list enormous with very few players with hands. Maybe I'll add an option to allow players with no hands to be listed.

Some tournament summaries from sites don't indicate what kind of tourney type it is. Are you importing some that do? If so, it's an oversight on my part and I'll get it fixed, just attach some of the summaries to a support ticket.

I will get tournament notes enabled (could've sworn they were already).

Making this an option would be great because in the database I have tourney summaries from PokerStars and Full Tilt and I need to create aliases for those players that played at both sites.

Yes, the tourney summaries show that it is a No Limit Holdem tourney (PokerStars & Full Tilt). I'll submit a support ticket with some tourney summaries shortly.
