There will always be at least 6 of them even if postgres is 'idle'.
I'll check elsewhere on the forum to see if someone has dealt with the question of just disabling postgres unil I'm actually using Poker Tracker. Otherwise, according to TUT (the ultimate troubleshooter that I use), These 6 instances of Postgres are occupying a little over 43Mbyte of memory. Task manager does show that they are inactive, but still - that's a big hunk of memory taken when there's nothing going on. I run some CAD packages that could use this memory when I'm not playing cards! Glad I found this post though, I was not sure why there were so many instances.
