And if not I am getting it all in with -EV? Which by the way is something I am working on - equity and am almost certainly not getting value for some hands and risking too much on others. Maybe should be asking these questions somewhere else - don't mean to hijack the thread...

Personally, i get 2 things from examining my graph:
1. Keeps me sane when I run bad. Shows me some of my losses are simply due to bad beats.
2. Alerts me when I may be making bad decisions. If my green line isn't consistently rising, then I may be doing something wrong.

In your case, yes, you are running poorly but that's not the main thing your data shows. You're not getting it in good most of the time. This doesn't have to mean you're making mistakes mind you. For example, if you keep getting KK and running into AA and getting it all in, you green line will plummet but you're not making any mistakes. That said, you should take a look at the specific hands and try to evaluate whether you played them correctly.

While I am taking some beats probably not disproportionately so. In review of my hands as suggested I am finding I play my gut more than having a plan. I am W$WSD 46% and W$SD 51% and W$WSF 44%. I am thinking this is not bad with a 19.5|12|4.5 style. Where I am getting into trouble is not understanding commitment and winding up committed and being forced into tougher decisions - bad decisions. I have steady win rate ( ascending graph won$/BB ), but wind up getting stacked maybe unnecessarily and have to grind my way back to even only to repeat the cycle. I suppose this would account for "You're not getting it in good most of the time." Or not getting it in enough when I have the best of it?

Then that is what you should work on - ignoring any luck graphs or stats, not getting into those situations will help your game a ton in the long run.

One more time thanks for the application, its nice to know how are you running

im trying version 0.13, but when the application is finding new pots at start i got like 200 errors (so far) like this "Exception while processing hand 558425. See log for details"

By the way, whats your name in PS, so i can send some $$$ (not much, but something)

Hmm, the error indicates that the database table isn't being re created with the new columns I added like it should. Try File/Recalulate as this explicitly removes and recreates the table.

Oh, and my screen name on stars is nowanuno. Not sure if it is eligible for funds transfer though as I have never deposited on starts (got some money there from a promotion)..

I'm getting the same error on a few thousand hands. I got tired of clicking the OK-button so I'm not getting a graph. Also, I tried Alt->F4 which worked for stopping the "finding new hands"-dialog. But when I select File->Recalculate Hands it either crashes or gives me the same error.

Should I try to click through the 10000 errors and then try File->Recalculate? (Is there a way to ignore errors?)

Anyway, a huge thank you for coming up with a program like this. It's exactly what I needed!

Alonalbert,

Here's a hand with calculation errors:

***** Hand History for Game 8711650851 *****
$25 USD NL Texas Hold'em - Thursday, December 17, 00:51:38 MSK 2009
Table Table 125952 (No DP) (Real Money)
Seat 6 is the button
Total number of players : 6
Seat 4: HERO ( $27.60 USD )
Seat 6: BTN ( $18.94 USD )
Seat 2: BB ( $41.26 USD )
Seat 3: UTG ( $25 USD )
Seat 5: CO ( $25 USD )
Seat 1: SB ( $48.10 USD )
SB posts small blind [$0.10 USD].
BB posts big blind [$0.25 USD].
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to HERO [ Qs Kh ]
UTG folds
HERO raises [$1 USD]
CO calls [$1 USD]
BTN calls [$1 USD]
SB calls [$0.90 USD]
BB folds
** Dealing Flop ** [ Qh, Qd, Ts ]
SB checks
HERO bets [$2.70 USD]
CO calls [$2.70 USD]
BTN calls [$2.70 USD]
SB folds
** Dealing Turn ** [ Th ]
HERO checks
CO bets [$7.25 USD]
BTN is all-In [$15.24 USD]
HERO is all-In [$23.90 USD]
CO is all-In [$14.05 USD]
** Dealing River ** [ Ah ]
CO shows [ Kc, Qc ]a full house, Queens full of Tens.
BTN doesn't show [ Ac, Tc ]a full house, Tens full of Aces.
HERO shows [ Qs, Kh ]a full house, Queens full of Tens.
HERO wins $2.60 USD from the side pot 2 with a full house, Queens full of Tens.
CO wins $6.01 USD from the side pot 1 with a full house, Queens full of Tens.
HERO wins $6.01 USD from the side pot 1 with a full house, Queens full of Tens.
CO wins $27.58 USD from the main pot with a full house, Queens full of Tens.
HERO wins $27.59 USD from the main pot with a full house, Queens full of Tens.

It gives me the expected result of 32BB and actual result of -2BB, hence the difference of -34BB,
which is wrong. I'm guessing it picks up winnings incorrectly.

I'm bumping this also: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=15317&start=400#p101812
Please take a look at this if you can.

Thanks for a great program!

It is a standalone app but it requires a PT3 database to use in its calculations.

I don't believe so; it's a .NET application . . . you could try it in WINE though I suppose? I don't know how well it'll work though.

With PT3 Beta 30 supporting Omaha, I figured I'd add Omaha support to your favorite tilt busting software :)

In order to support Omaha, I had to switch from the previous 3rd party library that calculates odds to a new one that supports Omaha. I tested this on my system and got identical results but if you suspect something is wrong, let me know.

I only do Omaha HI though the new library does support low but splits are hard to work out and since most HI/LO games are limit, all in luck doesn't matter that much.

I figured since this is a major feature, I'd put it in a new thread. I'll also update the main thread in case someone is monitoring that. Future updates will be in the original thread though.
