Tables Not Recognizing

Postby nutsallin » Sat Jan 02, 2010 3:38 pm

Both Stars and Full Tilt, hand history folders configured and updating -- PA HUD window always blank & no stats of any kind. I'm using it on laptop with no Pokertracker or DBs, but this has always worked in the past (2+ years ago), since I don't want/need any stats from non-current sessions / tables or any other programs eating CPU while playing. Has something changed or what am I missing?

Thanks in advance

Do you have a database cache available? Without a database it's the only way PAHUD will have to get stats.

As far as I remember, I only had PA HUD in my laptop, set the hand history directory, and it showed current stats for current tables. I did not do any improting or had databases of any kind on that computer (only current handhistory txts) -- and of course did not have any stats from prior sessions / datamining / etc, if thats what you're referring to as databases.

Did you change anything about your setup?

PAHud will not show any stats without a PT2 database, not even the current session. PAHud does not import or store any data itself.

So if I want only current session, it will work if I add any old PT database? The point is I want to use HUD without running any version of PT simultaneously -- this was definitely possible 2 years ago with older version of PA HUD.

kraada,

Now its different laptop with newest PA HUD trial version, but PA HUD was the only program on my old laptop, there was no PT or databases.

Yes, it should work if you add old databases to the machine.

The only way I can see how you'd have any data without a database is if you'd used a copy of PAHUD to build a PAHUD database cache from a PT2 database and brought that cache over to your old laptop. I know there were people that did this, but since it took a bit of manual work, you would almost certainly know you had done it . . .

You'll still need to be importing into the database, though - if PT2 isn't importing hands to a database then there is nothing for PAHud to display.
