The xml format was introduced around December 22nd. But they allow you to import the old txt ones in the client under Options--> Poker Notes Management. I suppose a temporary workaround is to still write to the notes.txt which should still be there and then import those notes via the Pokerstars client.

There are some bugs though. Whatever xml converter the Pokerstars uses has problems with certain (Cyrillic??) characters and causes the notes.xml file to substitute them with huge blocks of gibberish and so the file to swell to several hundred MBs.

I don't know if PT Stud will be able to handle using this new format directly. I'll have to investigate. In the mean time use the workaround that vicnice mentioned. Thanks.
