PT3 DB Backup

Postby pr1mo » Sat Jan 16, 2010 4:58 pm

I have tried to backup 2 different db's thru database management-backup option and both are between 50 and 100 gb in size on my hard drive but the backup says it is complete and the files are 17kb and 18kb. This obviously can't be right and wont work to backup and be able to delete the db on the computer to make room for more db's. do i need to go into pg-admin to backup the big db then? which step am i missing? i have backup databases option checked under the backup options.

Which version of PT3 are you using? Are you sure you have your large databases checked? There is some compression - and databases compress really well - but that seems quite extreme. If you're sure you have everything looking good on your end, could you attach one of those small backups to a support ticket so that we can take a look and see what actually did get backed up?
