Using more than 1 database

Postby p1rado » Mon Mar 31, 2008 6:38 pm

Hello!

What happens when I use more than one database to get information from?

Let's say that one player has 3000 hands and a VP$IP of 15% on a database and 7500 hands on other database with 22% VP$IP.

So which number will appear at the table?

Thanks a lot!!!

Database 1: 3000 Hands, VP$IP 15% or 450 times
Database 2: 7500 Hands, VP$IP 22% or 1650 times
---------------------------------------------------------
Displayed on Table: 10,500 hands, VP$IP 20% [( 450 + 1650 / 10500 ) * 100]

Best regards,

Derek

I have a question similiar to this one. What happens if I imported 1000 hands in 1 database and then imported the same 1000 hands into another database. Does HUD count the hands twice when displaying stats?

The reason I ask is i use a seperate computer to datamine on. I then import those hands into a datamine only database, however i am playing at the same time , causing duplicate hands.

Any advice on how to correctly do this? Only thing I know is to put all hands in 1 database.... correct?

thanks,

chuck

I don't know how to do this, but I think that if you gather your databases in just one, the duplicate hands will count as one.

I'm not sure, I'm not a specialist, but maybe it can help...

Cya!

There is no way for us to determine if the hands are duplicates therefore in this situation it would add them together.

The only solution would be to use one central database.

Derek,

This is my doubt: how to make all my four databases just one central?

How to gather 2 or more databases in just one?

Can you help me out? I'm pretty sure that there is a topic about it but I couldn't find at the search option or FAQ`s.

Thanks a lot!!!

I am going to move this thread to the PokerTracker Holdem forums. Pat will be able to better assist you on how to combine databases. I believe there was a tutorial written but I am not sure of where it is located...
