I agree that should be possible - same thing for rebuys, even double stacking at the start could be inferred once you see from the HH what the rebuy stack amounts are.

Guess I'll just have to wait for support to reply to my ticket and tell me why none of this is actually happening.

Indeed; thanks for submitting the ticket though hopefully we'll be able to get everything working for you shortly.

I'm not sure about double-stacking at the start, but add-ons are calculated as you suggest - by noticing that your stack has gone up.
If you include one where you double-stack in your ticket we'll be able to test that too, although I'm not sure whether that is implemented (yet).

It turns out this feature effectively doesn't work... here's the response from support

As the rebuy & addon information isn't available in the hand history file, there's unfortunately no way for PT3 to import that information. I have however forwarded this ticket to our development team who will take a look at it.

As I told them, even when it's in the HH file it still doesn't import.

Hopefully it will be there soon - like a lot of other tourney players I know we'll just have to find a different solution if PT can't even tell us how much we've invested in a tourney.

After quite a bit of assistance from support we have a partial resolution.

The automatic importing worked on two tournaments I tested it on for both rebuys and addons.

However, it only worked in new databases created using 30.1 - it did not work on databases that had been originally created in earlier versions.

I confirmed the results by comparing PTs results with PokerStars Player Audit Account History.

It's getting too late tonight for me to do further testing, but I'll see what happens with double stacking at the start tomorrow, and see what suggestions support have with respect to the problems of older databases created before 30.1.

I have confirmed that buying mulitple stacks before the first hand is dealt is not recorded

Just to clarify - this is because there is no information about having made a double buy-in in the hand history file. The development team are aware of the issue and will try to add this at some point if they can find a reliable way to do it.
