So just to be clear, there are people 4 tabling rush with the HUD which doesn't fall behind after say 5 quickfolds in a row? If so, this is absolutely unlike my experience. I went from postrges 8.2 to 8.4 and thought that would plus beta 30.4 but it's still not a viable sol. I just wonder what I'm doing differently than others?

Have you sent us your log files so that we can investigate?

yeah the cache is updated 98%. Its 98 because I did a cache update a few days ago but I played a few thousand hands since.

Did you do that for both databases that the HUD is using?

I just added this to my ticket:

A little more info to help troubleshoot this... I just tried AGAIN to use the HUD in a rush game on only one table and could not!

I launched the windows task manager and found 10 or 11 instances of postgres.exe running, each one using anywhere from 5k to 210k memory.

Even after I quit PT3, there were fives postgres.exe running.

Could this be part of the problem or is this normal? Ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Do you have McAfee installed on your computer? If so, you'll need to disable "Auto Protect" / "Real Time Protection" along with "SystemGuards" until McAfee is able to update their virus definitions.

Unfortunately McAfee does not provide any method to add an exception to mark these files to not be scanned and due to the false positives they are generating, McAfee is removing necessary files from your computer.

Once you disable the above settings, reinstall PT3 and the issue should be resolved.

Is there an ETA of when Mcafee is going to update their virus definitions pertaining to this, or can someone post in this thread when they do?

I replied to your ticket. If we can't this resolved soon let's try and do a remote session. You are the only person where it isn't immediately obvious what the problem is.

Thanks. I now able to reproduce some of your problems. For everyone else reading rush requires a much more up-to-date cache than the regular HUD.

But my problems occurred immediately after I did ALL the housekeeping options.

Also, now my HUD simply will not appear on my tables at all. I went back to 30.4 and they still won't. A friend of mine reports the same.

For future reference, what is your minimum recommended cache percentage for good performance?
