Hi,

when trying to install Postgres SQL I got the following error message: User postgres could not be created. The password is too short or not complex enough.
I tried with the default pw and 2 complex ones (8 digits). Can you help ? Thanks in advance...

Try a random password such as 'y24ot5roobrw24z'. The postgres service password is not that important...

I am having the same problem. I tried really complex/random passwords. This is th first time I have installed PT on my computer.
and it says "User 'postgres' could not be created: The password is too short or not complex enough.!"

Have you tried downloading the PokerTracker version with PostgreSQL and let it install it for you?

I think I figured it out. 10+ characters, #, letter, and shift number (ex:!@#$%^&*()
That worked for me anyway

I tried exactly your recommendation and another one with minor changes in the numbers. Same negative result...

Are you letting PT3 install PostgreSQL? If not, try doing so.
