Days sessions randomly appear and disappear !

Hello there,

I already use PT3 for Hold'em/Omaha and am very happy with it. Having recently started regulary play of 7 card stud, have just downloaded Poker Tracker Stud to evaluate it before purchasing.

Whilst the stats look great when they appear, it seems a bit hit and miss what sessions appear when I look at my sessions.

I am running on Windows 7 with PTS 1.5.07a

I have exclusively been playing 7 card Stud ion iPoker network and have loaded 6 days worth of Stud games (between 15th and 25th March) but if I go to "Session Notes" I only see games played on 19th March. I then go to Preferences tab to check my filters and have got "All dates" selected.

Then tried reloading stats from 18th March and was told they are already in the database.... and then suddenly I can see stats for 18th March and 24th March, but 19th March has now disappeared !

So I restart PTS and there is no data shown... but then I go to preferences and see the Session Dates is now set for 31st March !! If I changes and save this to be "All dates" I can now see 19th March stats and am back to where I started

I am certainly not purchasing the software with this problem, but as the software is so well established cannot believe everyone is having this issue !

Can anyone help solve this as i have no idea what is going on ?

It sounds like a regional settings issue. Are you always letting the program change your regional settings when it runs? You need to do that. Look on the menu, Utilities > Regional Settings...

If that is set properly then if you click the Remove All Filters button on the Preferences tab then go to the Session Notes tab do you see all the sessions?

Regional settings are set to the recomended value (Yes, always change) and is currently set to US

Remove all filters then going to Session Notes shows just 19th March

I've never heard of such a problem before so your database must be corrupted. Try using the Repair option on the Utilities menu.

OK, so I repaired the database a couple of times and also ran the one-step compact. It didnt seem to make any difference... I exported the hands to text file and made sure I could see all the expected data (which I could)

I was noticing that despite saving the change each time, the preferences always had "session date" coming up as todays date, this was because I had selected "Display games that were played" as today. I changed this to "Dont use this feature" and Hey presto.... all my sessions can now be seen !

I am not sure why this behaved as it did, as manually changing the preferences definately didn't work.... so I guess it's a "feature"

In the end I am happy I can see all my sessions and am now busy data mining by stats.
