Possible to change limits played?

Postby Tonto1979 » Fri Apr 16, 2010 8:52 pm

I had a lot of Rush hands imported recently which were just classed as "$0.50 NL" but tonight I was prompted to download a new version which is now classifying Rush hands seperately as "$0.50 NL RUSH". Is there any way that I can manually go about changing all previous Rush hands imported so they are all included within the one heading?

I'm running the trial version for now if its any use to say so.

Edit: I now notice that my SNG records have also changed since I downloaded this new version. They are no longer analysed under "Table Type" or by "Tourney Type". The rake paid is also no longer included in the stats :? :?

You can change the limit of your Rush hands via Database > Database Management > Adjust Limits.

Updating shouldn't have affected the SNG records in your database - do you mean for newly imported tourneys?
Do these new ones have summary files with the correct information?
If so, and they don't import into PT3 correctly, please attach the hand history and summary files to a Support ticket so that we can investigate.

Is there a tutorial on how this is done? From looking at the tab, it appears to me that this has to be done manually for each player which I'm assuming isnt correct :? Obviously I dont want to start clicking away at buttons without knowing for sure what I'm doing wont mess things up.

I posted last night just after I updated but before I ran housekeeping.

The SNGS already imported were not displaying correctly but I see that they are this morning after housekeeping has been completed. :?

There isn't a tutorial yet, I'm afraid.
It's on my list but I haven't had time to write it yet.

I'd recommend making a backup of your database first, just in case. File > Backup.

Select your screenname from the list and select the sessions that you want to adjust.
Select Rush from the Modifiers drop down.
Check that the limit looks correct in the Preview and click Change Limit.

I have 1800 sessions of Rush already imported somehow - seems that previous sessions are appearing as a number of different sessions whereas last nights one was imported (using updated PT3) as only one session.

Changing one session entry took over 2 minutes - theres no easier or quicker way to change them? At this rate, it will take over 60 hours :o

Earlier versions of PT3 were released before Rush tables were introduced and changes had to be made. Due to the way Rush tables work you are in different seats all the time, so you will have one session per different seat number you were in from those old sessions.
The best thing to do will be to purge and re-import the old sessions. This will correct the seating issue as well as the limit name.

Just for reference - in the Adjust Limits window you can select and update multiple sessions at once using shift- or control- clicks.
