"Poker Tracker has stopped responding"

Postby chazmodius » Wed Jun 16, 2010 2:33 pm

Hello admins,

I consistently get this error upon exiting the program - I think this started occuring after my last upgrade/patch of PT3. It does not do this EVERY time, but 90% is probably a good number. i don't have a good enough sample to be sure, but it seems the times that it WOULD exit properly, I closed by rite clicking the thumbnail on my task bar and hitting close (without stopping auto import first) but again, can't be sure. I will need to pay closer attention to my hand sums to discover if I am losing any hands when this happens, but I don't think that I am, so this may be merely an annoyance.

thanks,
chaz

What version of PT3 are you currently using?

I've gotten this error on the last oh 15 updates I've used and submitted the windwos crash logs.

I've seen several others report it too. I've never lost any data, but something isn't right if the program closes but you get that windows message coming up every time.

I too have reported this error and have gotten this error message in many versions of PT3. It is a Windows Vista/7 error message that seems to be related to HUD use - I notice it frequently when I've been using the Rush Poker HUD and close PT3 shortly after stopping the auto import process. I believe it could be related to the main PT3 program being closed before all parts of the applications (i.e., those related to displaying the Rush HUD) have been allowed to terminate properly.

that might be plausible, though I don't play that much rush. I've noticed subjectively that the longer it is running the more likely to give that message. (though i can't prove it...)

The more bug reports we can get on this issue, the easier it will be for us to track down the cause and eliminate it.

I paid extra attention to the error message again today. It's one of those Windows "[Program Name] has stopped working" messages that asks if you'd like Windows to "-> Check online for a solution and close the program" or simply "-> Close the program." The problem signature lists it as an APPCRASH in PokerTrackerHud.exe.

Here's the actual error file. No one clicks through all the steps you'd have to click through to get to it, but I have done it before and so OK, I'll do it again. alpha.5 for me.

What ticket number is this? I'd like to see our actual crash file. The Windows one doesn't have any useful information in it.
