Beta 3.07.2 Install Issue

In v3.07.2 the tournament table type system has been upgraded so that you are not restricted to just those types. Type names are created dynamically by the tournament auto detection system (or you can add types yourself) so there is no set list of types anymore.

Upgraded PT3 today ... had a bit of a shock when I found all my custom table types have gone.

I've had a look at your tutorial, and I can see you have improved the table types system in PT3.

But... how do I recover my old tournament classifications?
I had created my own custom table types, and I've spent tens of hours categorising my existing tourneys using my custom types:

Is it possible for my to 'convert' my existing, painstakingly selected table types to the equivalent new types?

There is actually nothing left of the old system to convert. However, the process of updating the databases is now made much easier with our new system - please see the new Tutorial: Tournament Auto Detection for details on how to utilize the new system. It should not take long to get things back to a very similar state to what you had previously.

Hi,

I update pt3 v3.06.2 to v3.07.2 beta and when it start to update my database it gives an error:

Error:
Unable to execute query: ALTER TABLE
holdem_hand_player_statistics ADD COLUMN val_curr_conv
numeric(12,8) DEFAULT 0;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR:
could not read block 61262 of relation 1663/16438/17872:
Invalid argument )

How can I fix this?

Have you been having other problems with your database or deleted any PostgreSQL files recently?

When i cluster or vacuum the database (I don't remember which) also gave an error.
I don't delete any PostgreSQL file.

The error makes it sound like a file from your database may be lost and recovery from these situations is highly time consuming and difficult.

Do you have all of your processed hands? Making a new database in 3.07.2 and reimporting your hands to it may be the fastest solution.

I have all my processed hands.
The problem is that i can't enter in pokertracker3.
When i start pokertracker3, he ask to update the database, if i say yes gives the error, if i say no, he close pokertracker3.

PT3 should remain open after the error - create the new database then.

After the error a message appears saying the update process is complete.
I click ok, and then the first message saying to update your database appears.
I am in this cycle,
update - error - complete - update - error - complete,
and when i say no to update, is closes.

Why when it says that is complete, he don't enter and ask again to update?
How can i create the database if i can't enter PT3?
