I deleted all the hands in the folder it was trying to import from and the tracker is now working but I don't think it's importing all the hands/calculating the winnings correctly

Please report your problem as kraada suggested - we can't know what is going wrong for you without seeing your log files. This is not a general problem.
If you uninstall PT3 it will not remove your data, but you will not be able to use the current database with an older version, you would need to create a new database and re-import your hands. That won't help us find out what your problem is, though - if there is something not working for you in this version then we need to find out what it is and get it fixed so that future versions will work for you.

I have the same problem, PT crashes when I try to import HH's on my Mac. i had downloaded the same Beta version. advice?

PT crashes repeatedly. 3.07.2b, Mac OS 10.6.4.
