From PostgreSQL into SAS Entreprise 4.1

Postby T123 » Sat Sep 11, 2010 12:18 am

Hi, I am currently teaching myself SAS. Whilst I am doing this I would like to play around with a lot of my PT3 stats in SAS... is there an easy way to transfer the data directly from the PostgreSQL DB? possibly even create a link somehow????

Or should I just produce a report, and import this into SAS as .CSV file?

The values of the stats themselves aren't stored in the database. When you have a fully built cache the column values which the stats are built from are stored in the cache tables so you could access the data from there to calculate the stats you're interested in.
Depending on exactly what you want to do you'll probably find it easiest to export some reports and import those to your own database, though.
