Updating PT3 doesn't affect PostgreSQL at all - please report your problem and explain exactly what is happening - your logs should let us see what is going on.

Okay, First off just wanted to get back to this post to help other people out. I tried installing postgres 8.2 just to see if it was some type of compatibility issue with Vista. Over the last couple of days I just have come to the conclusion that Vista just really is a piece of shit operating system. I've had nothing but problems with it. The straw the broke the camels back was when I tried to update my virus software and it completely locked up. So I went out and purchased Windows 7. I backed everything up, and I'm in the process of reinstalling everything. So far no problems. I think if your running Vista, it's just a matter of time, before everything gets extremely frustrating for you. I will try to update this post if I run into any further problems with Windows 7. Good luck everyone.

Good luck. So far I've heard almost entirely good things about Win7.

What anti-virus/firewall do you use? That message can occur when your a/v or firewall blocks PostgreSQL - see our Firewall Configuration Guide for details on how to configure most commonly available software to work with PT3.

Have you checked to make sure Norton 360 is allowing postgres and PT3 full access? You may still need to add exceptions for them.

I have never been able to get this program to connect to postgresql server at all. I have never got to use this program and have had it about 6 months. Is there someone that can walk me threw this problem, I have contacted before but all i do is get sent on a wild goose chase it seems. I click on PT3 it shows and then the configure POSTGRESQL server shows click on connect and it just says not responding. I use holdem and omaha indicator and never have any problems and would really like to use this program since I did purchase it with out doing the trial version. It would be nice to know i didnt just give u all 90 dollars for nothing. I would really like to know why This cant just be downloaded and all the proper stuff load and work without spending hours and hours to try and make it work. If No one can help me get this program to work can I at least get a refund, because when purchasing it dont tell u that u will have to go threw all this to make it work( its like download and everything is all good but all u get is a program that requires more programs to run but does not set it up on its own). Anyway please help Because this is very upsetting to feel like a Idiot that cant run a stupid program.

Please schedule a remote assistance session where someone can logon to your computer with you and directly troubleshoot/resolve the issue.
Our technicians are available from 10AM-5PM EDT and then again from 11PM-2AM EDT so please tell us what times you're available over the next few days, and what timezone you are in so that we can schedule a session.
