MAC FTP + HUD: Blink on every click

Hi everybody,

I play on my Mac on FTP... Everything works fine, but there is 1 little thing which is really annoying:

During play the HUD on the specific table I click on blinks everytime I click

Is this "normal"? Any solution?

When you bring the table window to the front by clicking it PT3 has to redraw the HUD on top again. It does this as fast as possible, but if your computer is loaded there may be a short delay. There are further changes to come in the next release, but please have a look at the Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities) and see what is using the CPU, and how heavily it is loaded.

I already thought it might happen when the HUD needs to redraw...

I wouldn't expect to see problems given that CPU usage but there are further improvements to the HUD for the next release.
I hope this will be out within a few days but we still have a few things to fix and test so it could be delayed a little.

Yes, it's normal. We refresh the hud about 10 times a second which is well within the range of human perception. Even dedicating an entire CPU core to it still causes quite a bit of flicker. The current delay is the best trade-off between CPU time and visuals.

Well, its not flickering, just 1-time-blinking per click on the table...

Is there a fix for this issue? I'm experiencing it as well.

I'm probably going to come across like a spoilt child but I've literally just purchased PT3 after switching (reluctantly) from HEM and this is driving me nuts already.

I haven't heard an update on this issue in quite some time, so I do not believe there is a fix at this time.

Ok. Can I just clarify... does that just mean a solution for the issue hasn't been found or is that it's not something that's being worked on?

I haven't heard anything about this issue at all; it hasn't come up since the late September post you replied to. I just checked in our bug tracker and I don't see a bug for this particular issue either, so if you could reproduce and report it so that we could look into what is going on here for you, that would be good.
