Is there a problem to create a database for PT3 with the PostgreSQL version 9.0.0.1 ?

I believe PT3 will work OK with PostgreSQL 9, but it hasn't been officially tested yet. I understand that at least one of our development team is using it.

What about 64-bit? I'm anxious to hear a report on that.

64-bit should be fine too. I believe that we will be heading that way officially at some point, but I don't know when that will be.

I'll be running some tests here hopefully in the next few days but having read over the changes I don't expect any problems for PT3.

Been running running postgreSQL 9 all through the beta, RC and now official release without a single problem.

Am I correct in assuming we will have to create a new database with postgres 9 + reimport hands, and not be able to restore from the 8.4?

Backup and Restore should work properly as they are just wrappers around pg_dump and pg_restore both of which should work the same in 9.0 as far as I'm aware.

I have been googling it and I can't find anything about the benefits of upgrading. Would it help with poker databases?
