Unsupported Database Type AND unable to execute query. Help!

Postby bert or ernie » Tue Oct 12, 2010 1:56 am

Quick backstory - I downloaded the trial version of PT3 for Mac, had some problems initially and did some uninstalling and reinstalling of postgreSQL. After some tinkering I finally got it to work. After it expired, I decided to purchase PT3 but now I am getting both of these errors. I have read past responses by White Rider to each of these but not specifically for a Mac and also not specifically for my problem. I was able to manually import my hand history but the auto-import function seems to be messed up. The HUD doesn't come up during cash games but does seem to function normally during tournaments. Is there any reason why this error would only occur in cash games? I must be doing something blatantly idiotic but I can't seem to figure it out... Please help!

Thanks!

Just a bit more info - upon starting auto-import it states "unable to load hand history file" (in red text) for some of my most recent tourneys and it says "loading hand history file" for ones further back. i have done housekeeping several times with all of the functions turned on. sorry if i am totally clueless but I'm a bit bewildered by this process...

Please click File --> Setup Wizard and run through the setup wizard once and that should clean out your hand history directories. Then see if that helps for you. If it does not, please enable logging and reproduce and report these errors so that we can investigate further for you.

I have version 3.06 of PT3 but I have already used my registration code on it once. If I uninstall it and download the beta (hoping that that may fix my issues) will I have to re-enter my registration code? Is there another way for me to do this without losing my only registration code left?

Upgrading the same computer does not cause any problems - you can upgrade PT3 to the latest PT3 version without any registration issues ever. Your code is good for up to two machines that you own and operate concurrently - you can even uninstall PT3 and that previous installation will no longer count against you.
