how do you download updates? i'm using version 3.06.2

Visit our Download page and click on the link for the version you want to update to. Save the file to your computer.
Close PT3 and all poker clients and then run the installer - install to the same place as your existing installation: do not uninstall first.

Please read the PT3 Build History / Release Notes as there are some significant changes since v3.06.2 and your databases will need to be updated, then you'll need to run Database > Housekeeping so please schedule this when you have time to let it complete.

ok im confused. is the fix out yet or what? plus will i have to install the beta version?

It's not out yet, but I expect it later today.
If you want to use the workaround then you'll need to install it, yes.

I hope that you will post it today, because it is really saddening - how is this possible that it takes so long to fix this bug?

We need to test to make sure the fix works and that nothing else is going to break as a result - it would not be good if the "fix" caused more problems! We've been doing internal testing on the fix and a couple of other things that will be in this beta and barring any surprises the beta will be available later today.

Why is the solution to the problem you takes so much time? Your programmers unskilled or you don't care about customers?
