Mac unsupported database type

Postby bigsquid » Sat Dec 11, 2010 11:59 am

I've been using Micro stakes PT3 on my Mac for a few months now. For the last couple of days when I click Begin Auto Import I get the following error message and no HUD on the tables I'm playing.

Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unsupported database type: PS $3.40 S'n'G ()

If you haven't rebooted, please try that first as that can often fix PostgreSQL issues.

If that doesn't help, are you able to create a new database?
If so, can you import to that?

If you set that database to be Active, can you view the reports?

Did you update PT3 or PostgreSQL?

I have rebooted, that didn't help.

I created another database however I get the same error message when I try to import to it.

I'm currently running the latest version of PT3, 3.08.1 which I installed as soon as it was released.

That suggests that PostgreSQL isn't running - what happens if you go to Applications and click PostgreSQL > Start Server?

Applications in PT3? Where's that? There's no PostgreSQL in the Applications folder of my Computer.

If you don't have PostgreSQL in Applications then you will need to install it. PT3 will not work without PostgreSQL.
Please follow these directions to make sure PostgreSQL is fully uninstalled and then PT3 should install it for you.
If that doesn't help please create a Support ticket and our support technicians will work with you to get things working.

There is no PostgreSQL in Library. It's strange as PT3 was working fine and I've made no recent changes to my computer.

Anyway, I've opened a support ticket. Thanks for your assistance.
