"Hands observed but not imported"

Postby Draugsvoll » Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:25 pm

So i get that message when playing, allthough some hands do get imported, but after a short while it won't import / observe any hands at all. I don't understand anything. I tried re-install it, make a firewall rule to the neccesary pockertracker files to not have any actions blocked and yeah. Tried uninstall and reinstalling several times. I have checked that the hand history from pokerstars is being saved in the same folder as I set my pockertracker to import hand history from.

PT3 only imports a maximum of 30 observed hands per session. After a half an hour period without any tables open if you close PT3 and reopen PT3 it will import 30 more observed hands. This is the maximum number of observed hands that will be allowed to be imported as set forth by PokerStars. Your played hands, however, should all import regardless. Are your played hands not importing continuously?

You can only import 30 observed hands – this does not affect played hands. Every hand that you play will be imported, regardless of that message. PokerStars allow us to import up to 30 observed hands for table selection purposes, but do not allow data mining at tables that you not playing.

Then please make certain that PokerStars is set to save your hand histories (in the Options --> Instant Hand History Options window) and that the directory listed there is the same as the directory on the Import -> Auto Import -> PokerStars Configuration tab - if either one of those is not set properly, PT3 will not be able to see your played hands to import them.

Then please restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, reproduce and report this problem. Your log file will contain your settings and we will be more able to figure out what is going on once we have them. We will work with you until this is resolved.

I am experiencing a similar issue on PokerStars actually, works fine on Entraction.

PT3 says: "PokerStars: Loading hand history file: xxx.txt" once, then nothing happens, no data is being added to the Database. And yes, all the folders is correct, and PS is set to save the loggs. Have tried uninstalling PT3, and also creating a fresh DB, but still the same issue.

Unfortunately i don't have the time to create ticket because the holiday stuff...

Will make a ticket asap if not fixed before.

Make sure you are running PT3 and PokerStars both as Administrator. Other than that, we'd need to see your log file in order to determine exactly what is going on here for you.
