Importing Hands - Invisible HUD

Postby Maximilian Kent » Fri Jan 14, 2011 11:58 pm

Hi all,

Mine is an issue regularly cited, but I did some Troubleshooting regarding typical causes of one's HUD not being visible and none of them seem to apply to me. I've tried to be as concise and by the book as possible for my first post, but I apologise if I haven't mentioned everything or I've deviated from procedure. Nonetheless, I appreciate your help.

Some stats about my system:

Mac OS 10.8.5, running PT 3.08.1 and PostgreSQL 9.0

Just purchased PT3, having used the 60-day trial in the past. As such, I'm familiar with its features and know how it should to run. I'm using it on Full Tilt, mostly for Rush Poker NLHE. I've customised my HUD a little (see Screen 2), but everything's still auto-importing fine while I play (Screen 1). I've included my HUD Options (Screen 3) just in case there's something I've accidentally checked which is stopping my HUD from being visible. The PT tab isn't visible at the top of my table screen either. It's basically like Pokertracker is absent from my computer while I'm playing, save for the hand histories being auto-imported. I've included my log files in a ZIP, both of which are rather short but were active when I was auto-importing. I've tried the auto import in some normal ring games also, but to the same non-effect.

If anyone has any idea why this might be, based on knowledge of why this usually happens then let me know. I'd very much appreciate it as I'd love to get PT3 up and running for real! :D

To start with I suggest you update to 3.09 beta.

That's a start alright. Of course! Can I update without having to reregister or anything like that? Simply download it from the site?

EDIT: I've updated to the latest version of PT3 but to no avail.

The HUD does not work at Rush tables on Mac because Mac OS security prevents PT3 interacting with the Full Tilt application in the way that it can on Windows.

It should work for normal ring tables, though. If the HUD doesn't work for a normal cash table please restart PT3 and play a short session at a single table then attach your log files to a Support ticket along with the hand history file for the session and a screenshot of the table.

Wow, you were right.

I got it to work for ring games, so I guess I'm back on those till then.

Is this the kinda thing that can be eventually fixed via an update? It essentially means that no one with a Mac who plays Rush can use a HUD :P

Thanks for the help!

It may be possible to find another way to do it, but Mac OS prevents us doing what we do on Windows so I don't think there will be a "fix" in the immediate future.
