unable to launch bodog communicator

Postby justme » Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:33 pm

After installing the new Beta version I get the following message "unable to launch bodog communicator" when trying to use the handgrabber for Bodog. I have McAfee installed and followed the instructions that came with the earlier mentioned message. I even turned off McAfee but still I get the same error-message. Anyone else suffering the same problem and anyone with an solution (I work on a Windows 7 Laptop with McAfee Internet Security on it).

Kind regards,

Maurice

This is the first I've heard of that being an issue - please try rebooting your computer and re-running our installer first thing then trying again and see if that helps.

Thank you for your quick reaction.

Rebooted my PC and ran the latest installer of the Beta version but still the same message box pops up....

Are you running PT3 as Administrator?

Yes; I'm running PT3 as Admin (it gives the error when I start to auto-import hands)

Do you also have Bodog configured to Run as Administrator?
Are you sure that you configured your firewall to allow full access? This problem is normally caused by a firewall, and turning it off will not stop it interfering – you will need to allow full access or uninstall it to stop it interfering.
If you're not able to get it working you can schedule a remote assistance session where someone can logon to your computer with you and directly troubleshoot/resolve the issue. Our technicians are available from 10AM-5PM EDT and then again from 11PM-2AM EDT so please tell us what times you're available over the next few days, and what timezone you are in so that we can schedule a session.

I am having the same problem.

I am running Bodog, PT3 as administrator.

I run AFG anti-virus and have added the entire folders for Bodog, PT3 and SQLgre to the exceptions list.

Am I missing something?

Same issue. Using Comodo firewall, PT3 and Bodog are Run as Administrator. Just started with the latest PT3 Beta, the previous beta that was up for a day or so worked fine, grabbed all my Bodog hands too.
No events pertaining to this are recorded as being blocked in the firewall log.

Could you both restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link on your Start menu, reproduce and report this problem so that we can investigate further for you?

I set my PC (Windows 7) so that it always runs pokertracker.exe , pokertrackerhud.exe, pg_ctl.exe and postgres.exe (and also the bodog-software) as admininstrator. I gave full acces in McAfee to the files just mentioned.

I'm in Europe and if it is possible I would like to make an appointment after 19:00 hr (13:00 hr US time). Please let me know whta the best time is for your experts

Thank you very much
