In that case, try copying the if1.enc and if1.dll files when the old version is installed (those files should be in the PokerTracker\Data directory) and after updating to the new version copy them back in place. I think that might get things working for you again.

finally tried this. i couldn't find the if1.dll file, but the .enc version was there (from the beta 5 install) so i just overwrote that file after installing b6, and b6 is now totally working for me.

Please make sure that you are using the latest PokerStars software (currently Client Version 4.434 - from the PokerStars lobby menu choose Help > About).
Older versions will not work with the updated TableTracker. If you run PokerStars manually it should update, but otherwise you can re-install it.
