Which version of PostgreSQL to Install?

Postby tercet » Thu Mar 31, 2011 12:56 pm

Hi,

I just recently formatted, and was reinstalling PT3, but the link to download PostgreSQL isn't valid anymore(Support Ticket 107553)

I browsed the PostgreSQL website, and don't know which version to download from
http://www.enterprisedb.com/products-se ... ad#windows

Which version should I download?

Thanks
tercet

If you are reinstalling to use an existing database then you need to use the same major version number (8.3.x, 8.4.x, or 9.0.x). Otherwise, anything 8.3 or newer will work, and just get the newest of the line you prefer - if you're on a 64 bit machine, the 64 bit 9.0 version will show some performance gains for you.
