uninstall/reinstall postgres SQL

It sounds like something is stopping the PostgreSQL server - do you have a firewall or anti-virus that might be configured to do this? PostgreSQL does not shut down on its own.

Before Starting PT3, i went to "services.msc" and the service "PostgreSQL server" was started. I didn't change my firewall (windows firewall) and i ' m using avast antivirus. Both makes automatic update.


Is there a way to see if Firewall/anti virus is configure to stop PostregreSQL server ?

I haven't heard of a problem with either of those two pieces of software to date that sound like what you are experiencing.

Click Start --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools and go into Event Viewer - do you see any errors in the Applications section relating to PostgreSQL?

Press the Windows Key + R and then enter 'eventvwr.msc' without the quotes and press enter. That will bring up the event viewer.

There's nothing in the event viewer relating to postgreSQL.

I've restart my computer and the problem is still here. PT3 launch correctly the second time... it's so strange

When you run PT3 the first time and get the error, if you look at the Services window at that point is the PostgreSQL service running or not?

Yes the postgreSQL service is running when the problem appears
