That error is implying that there is a problem with your database. There are several reasons that error can occur - when you start auto import normally do you see a lot of duplicates?

There's a box called "Duplicates" on the Auto Import tab. Does it say 0, or a number higher than that? It's in the Import Statistics section under the sites (there are also numbers for Hands and Errors).
