Hello Everyone,
I'm a passionate pokerplayer and use Pokertracker for longer than 2 years now. I'd like to offer an net-service to host PostgresSQL-databases online so that people, which are using Pokertracker are able to play on different machines with the same database.
For example: you play at home with your desktop pc and you want to use your notebook to play and track your poker play as well. This is where an online database comes into play.
You don't need to install PostgresSQL anymore on one of the PCs. You create an online-account at my hosting-service and connect the pc and the notebook to our database. We make backups for you (if you want to) and keep the database runnning. We monitor the online-status of your database and keep track of updates and security patches. No more worrying about the database.
I am using this solution on my own server for over 2 years now in every day play and I never had a problem with the latency or responding time.
Because a lot of people complain about the performance of such a solution, I want to make a beta stress test with a few power pokertracker-users which are interested in testing such a service.
So basically: I need you!
I need you, to give me feedback and gain some more experience in: "what hardware should be needed to fullfill the desired high performance of a (semi-)professional pokerplayer."
Are you interested in helping me? I am planing a beta test for at least two weeks. Of course the service is absolutely free of charge for you.
Best regards
Philipp
