Reinstall PostgreSQL

Hello, I've been looking at the documentation to uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL, but the documentation says "windows", how should I do to uninstall and reinstall MacOS Snow Leopard?
The problem I have is I can not run PT3 on Mac, because I do not detect the database and see that the version of PostgreSQL is 0.0.0

Download and install PostgreSQL 8.4 from here - all you will need to do is run the installer and it should take care of everything for you.
